Employees in organizations often focus their kindness and compassion outward, through volunteering and charity donations. But what about the practice of kindness within the organization? Why don't we express greater kindness toward the people we work with? What would the workplace look like if we did?
Kindfulness offers a new approach to the practice of kindness, focusing specifically on kindness habits within the workplace. We offer training programs for businesses and organizations to help build practical and sustained practices of kindness at work. We address the question "how can we be kinder to each other in tangible ways to make our work environment healthier, happier, and more productive?"
Our programs are designed to transform organizational culture, creating a dynamic, positive atmosphere where compassion and kindness are the norm and not the exception.
Organizations teach their employees lots of things on the job, but Kindness is often not one of them. Kindfulness aims to change that by helping employers to integrate dynamic and practical kindness practices across the organization. We do this through a series of customized workshops and fun, interactive team building activities. The end result is a happier, healthier, and more productive work environment.
Kindfulness programs and activities come in many shapes and sizes, including:
* An intensive one-day company wide or team specific Kindness Training Program resulting in a killer kindness practice for your office. Your meetings, team processes, and workplace culture will never be the same!
* A half-day Kick-Ass Kindness Challenge day where diverse teams put their compassion muscles and creativity to the test through a fierce and merciless acts of kindness competition.
* A surprise Guerrilla Kindness Attack in which masked kindfulness staff (and pre-selected employees) take your office by storm, committing and forcing heinous acts of kindness. Warning: We take no prisoners!
* One-on-one Executive Kindness Coaching for senior staff and team leaders on how to create a more positive, productive workplace through kindfulness principles and practices.

Paul Lamb is a former nonprofit executive and social entrepreneur with over 25 years of experience in nonprofit management and work in the private sector. He has studied at the Center for Compassion and Altruism Research and Education (CCARE) and at the Greater Good Science Center at UC Berkeley. He is also a frequent speaker, radio commentator and OpEd contributor on technology and social issues including kindness and compassion.
